I love Binchy's books and eagerly awaited this one. I wasn't disappointed - soon I was back in her world of quirky Irish characters. I didn't want this to end and felt the book stopped a little too soon. I loved the reference to characters from past books and the overlapping lives, making me remember the characters as friends I'd met long ago and were happy to be re-acquainted with. Binchy weaves...
Alan is back on form with this wonderful novel. I found his last one (Love and Dr Devon) a bit naff (sorry Alan), but "Folly" was really lovely. Found it very hard to put down and I love happy endings. Can't wait for the next one!
I really enjoyed this book. It has everything a good chick lit novel should have, a lovable heroine, a guy your desperate for her to be with and lots of funny and weepy moments. A really original fun read that will keep you up late at night turning the pages.
I really enjoyed this book it was a real page turner, I could not wait to finish it but now I have I can not wait for her next book to come out. It was so easy read and had you gripped. This was one of her best book in ages.It was full of smut,a must buy for any Jackie Collins Fans. You will not be disappointed with this book guaranteed.
Thankfully I didn't spend my hard earned cash on this book otherwise I might have asked for a refund. Maybe the fact I read this book at a time far removed from Christmas (Tenerife in September to be precise) didn't help.
Being a fan of Maeve Binchy I was thoroughly disappointed to find that rather than a good meaty read it was just a series of short stories. Granted all well written but none...
This is not at all what I've expected from Marian Keyes. It is very upsetting and it is not suitable for reading before you go to bed. Out of the 4 women there's 1 she barely talks about, 1 I don't really like, 1 that is a terrible read, so leaves only 1 true 'Marian Keyes'-character.
If you like to read about 'real' problems, you might like it, but if you're just looking for another easy read,...
So many things happen in such a short space of time that there is no chance to be bored with this book. Everyone is still trying to assassinate Merry and her men, there are lots of cliff hanger moments and plenty of blood, but very little sex in this one.
I agree with some other reviewers that the rape is glossed over, but I think this is more to do with so much happening and Merry has not yet...
