This is a good book, very wordy but detail is the key to success. I didn't find all the explainations the easiest to understand and this book is written with the perspective of how they teach optometry at Bradford. However if you are at another university in the UK the technique taught may not be the same as elliot. I found Esperji book clearer and easier to use in the lab. - I don't attend Aston so...
The entire Schaum's series is great for learning how to understand problems (in this case in optics) and shows you how to get through examples that your lecturer hasn't *quite* explained properly.
The entire Scahum's series is great and will help you get through exams, assignments or if you want to learn how to apply all that theory to real-life situations.
