An awesome book to read. Depending on the mood you are in, it can b an easy read or you could roam into serious thinking. It's a joy to read this book. Some stories are more interesting but that's just my view. The stories can be applied into various situations too- to entertain, to present a point, to grab attention or something to talk about during lunchtime. Highly recommended book for everyone...
I moved over, asked him how his work was going, and, before parting, quietly said: "The bin's over there" (gesturing with my eyes to the bin). He smiled, walked over to the bin, and spat out his chewing gum.
That's what happened when I put Bill Rodger's specific guidance to common classroom problems into practice: it worked! In the past I used to take a more aggressive manner, sticking...
I cannot tell you how pleased (and relieved) I am to have found a book like this! It is a god-send and this author deserves a medal. This is a must-have handbook for anyone undergoing a masters dissertation. I recently recommended it to a friend and it now sits in prime position on her desk.
Until I found this book, I knew what I wanted to achieve and was progressing with it. However,...

The children he meets seem to be little adults, full of the language and prudence of their mostly land-worker parents; able to hold their own on the finer points of animal husbandry and farm management. "Don't yer know yer sheep then?" asks a serious little boy, aged six, whose reading...
I bought this just after I got the job, and it would have come in really handy for the interview, if only I'd known!
Unlike most educational books, it's not filled with nebulous ideas, jargon and rubbish in-jokes. Instead, it's just practical, unpretentious, informative advice on every page, nothing extraneous, no agendas being followed.
This book is a great resource for the graduate student who is interested in learning about counseling and vocational guidance. The ease-of-useage and the writing style are not the best of any textbook I have ever seen but it is definantly better than average. This book is not necessarily for a person searching for a job; it is more geared toward being used by a professional counselor interested in...
