I enjoyed the writing and the artist has done a fine job in recreating the characters seen in the film and series, however it lacks depth and given the cost, is to say the least a tad short. I guess as part of the series of books it is needed and of course if like me you enjoy the Firefly universe then of course you will buy this book to continue the adventure.
What a shame and what a lost opportunity. The artwork is not a patch on the standard of John Harrold's. Only 3 stories - to last all year?! If it wasn't for the thick padded cover (the publishers really do think we're mugs) the book would feel as substandard as it looks.

I think this is deliberate though as it wouldn't do to have a comic tell an important story in the firefly setting just in case a new series or movie is commissioned. While that looks very unlikely now at the time this was first published it was more of a possibility.
