I loved letterland and so did my daughter and I taught her the letters using their reading cards and CD (both of which I highly recommed). However, now that my daughter has started Reception I was looking for something else to stimulate her writing as well as her reading, which is coming along very nicely. After reading such positive comments on this Jolly Phonics product, I bought it and it just so...
A clear and well set out book detailing approximately 20 theorists who have had influences in the way we approach early years education.
I would normally dip in and out of text books but this one I was happy to read as it's set out in such a undemanding and informative way.
The book is set out with headings about each theorist's;
- Life and upbringing
- Books and...
This book has no words which means you have to discuss the pictures with your toddler. It is the perfect tool to open a discussion about what is going to happen when the baby comes home from the hospital and shows them that they will still have special time with you after the new arrival.
This is a great book, nice print and easy to read. I was desperate to help my son who gets angry and frustrated quite alot. He is autistic and has speech and language problems and it was distressing to see him so angry. This book has helped alot.
I found this really helpful towards the new PTLLS teaching qualification, as well as giving me all the basic teaching tools I needed to start my career. A comprehensive index enabled me to locate all aspects I needed quickly. It's written in an easy to read format, with useful examples, great lists, and realistic activities which are relevant to teaching. I will keep it as a reference book as I progress...

I bought this book to help my struggling son with his phonics. He is in an independant learning group for support, so this was for me to help him at home and I'm glad I spent the money on it as it has helped no end.
There are lots of pages at the back for you to copy and give your child to do. There are lots of helpful hints and tips to encourage and help your child.
ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY.
I PURCHASED THIS BOOK A GOOD FEW YEARS AGO. I USE IT ALL THE TIME IN BETWEEN MY CLASSES AT NIGHT SCHOOL AND ALWAYS REFER BACK TO IT WHEN WE MOVE TO DIFFERENT USES OF VERBS IN CLASS.
I DO THE EXERCISES IN A A4 SCRAP PAD THAT WAY THE BOOK CAN BE USED OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THEN I CHECK THE ANSWERS FROM THE BACK OF THE BOOK.
I HAVE EVEN BOUGHT THIS BOOK FOR...
