Just enough explanations to highlight the salient points, without drowning the reader with loads of facts which can be easily found in textbooks such as the Oxford handbook. FRCA: MCQs for the Primary FRCA (FRCA Study Guides) Craig R. Bailey Fantastic book. A little out of date (1999) but the questions are relevant, laid out in short sections with well explained answers so it's great for dipping into or if (like me) studying reduces your attention span to 5 minutes. FRCA: MCQs for the Final FRCA: Saunders Self Assessment Series (FRCA Study Guides) Karen Henderson This is by far the best MCQ book for the final FRCA that I've read. Good quality print and paper (it makes a difference when you're going to be spending so many hours staring at it!), the questions closely resemble the actual FRCA questions (and a few are exactly as they appear in the exam), and the explanations are excellent. FRCR Part 1: 250 MCQs and Two Mock Exams (Get Through Series) Damian Tolan By far the best out of the 3 available Part 1 books and out of the 3 its questions are most like those found in the exam.
