Having studied for the plab exam, and used many books, this is by far and away the best book i have read. very clear and concise, everything is explained well in a very easy to read and well laid out format. excellent colour photos illustrate this book which improves it far above and beyond other plab 2 books i have read.
also very useful for undergrad osces. if you want a substantial advantage...
i think this is the best book i have come across..its jus one stop book needed for plab1...has very effciently subject-wise arranged questions with explanations with added tips in the form of confusa...plus the question bank of more than 1000 questions arranged paper wise.......gosh.the most extensive plab book i have come across...many thanks to the authors.
EMQs are gradually becoming the chosen way to examine medical studednts as well as international doctors. I reckon this is the best EMQ book I have found so far for practicing for medical school exams. The explanations of the answers are brilliant - absolutely 100% efficient revision. Tom
When you open this book for the first time, you think that all this from somwhere away, so difficlt it seems. But after some studying, you open it again and see that you need to study even more....

I am absoluteltely grateful for it's authors for helping me to get necessary skills in order to obtain my PLAB...
I liked this book very much for many reasons.To begin with, you do not find a lot of mistakes like other plab 1 books, so you can be confident with the answers, it is concise so it save you reading details you do not really need or may confuse you and finally its price is very reasonable as you get about 14 tests in one book.
i have just finished a degree in medicine and found plab books to be as good as or better than the ones aimed at undergraduates.
i used plab books for revision throughout my clinical years: this book has excellent explanations to help the reader understand why a particular answer has been chosen
In my opinion the PLAB FIRST AID was a fantastic guide.Its not designed to answer all the questions for you ,but rather be the ultimate study partner. The 9th march exam was very tricky though!However a careful review of FIRST AID PLAB tips the odds towards our end. All the best to all who sat for it.
