This book is now outdated (written in 1995) and there has been a lot of changes in the MBA application process over the last years. I would even say that this book can be misleading! Be cautious. Also, do not expect any specific advice targeted for European applicants since this book has been written for an American audience. It is a bit frustrating..
This book thoroughly lives up to its title: it is an excellent introduction to the market for freelance journalism and how to break into it.
Beware however! If you want to learn how to write then look elsewhere - this book will just provide some handy tips. Additionally, the more up-to-date audience will be disappointed that no mention is made of internet journalism or internet research methods.
I bought this book because it was offered with Mystery Method and, having read The Game, I thought it couldn't hurt to hear it from another guru's point of view. After all, Style did it.
I was wrong.
My girlfriend disapproves of me reading books on pick-up, and the reason (apart from the obvious) is she thinks PUAs hate women. This is not the case with Mystery Method. Mystery...
as someone not yet working in advertising, but desperate to do so, this book was a serious wake up call. Realistic, but never depressing, this book pulls no punches about the difficulty of getting into the industry. However, for every obstacle, the author offers suggestions and advice, often relating it directly to real-life experiences of people working in the business. Buy this book if you are...
Like people have already written, this book is more about the industry than how you're going to get into it. I bought the book knowing that, but I found this book very useful, covering many subjects that I wanted to learn more about. Some of the stuff he discusses in the book are things you can find out by doing simple searches on Google, but I think he has done a good job on collecting information...
This is an awesome book: you're done depending entirely on your specialist to tell you what you're seeing on your baby scans! The book talks you through all the important weeks and tells you what you're seeing where and what to pay attention to, like the vital organs, genitals etc etc. It comforts me a lot to be able to interpret my own baby scans, especially since by the time I get home (after all...
First off, the mystery method is a well written, well laidout, thorough, clever, helpful book. It allows you to understand certain things about women which make sense and explains step by step how to pick up a woman that you want. The bad reviews it has got are hugely uncalled for, some of the reasons suggested in the bad reviews are things like, theres not enough examples, but not everything can be...
